Audi A1 5 door Sportback

The sexy premium compact from Ingolstadt, stays at 3.95 meters in length but adds more rear seat headroom and overall width. Buyers can order the Sportback with a separate colour contrasted roof and either a four- or five-seat layout.

Although the A1 is not expected to arrive in Canada anytime soon, buyers in other lands will have the same choice of 6 engines, (3 diesel, 3 gasoline). The top gasoline engine is a 1.4L TFSI unit outputting 185HP. Paired with the 7-speed S-Tronic gearbox, that translates to 0-100km/hr in 7.0 seconds and a top speed of 227km/hr.

Although diminutive in size, the A1 Sportback will profile Audi’s premium technology. Look for the industry leading Google Maps integrated GPS system as well as the rolling WiFi hotspot options as well as premium audio options on the Sportback when it arrives in dealer showrooms.

Pricing is expected to start at around 17,000 Euro when the five door A1 eventually lands in showrooms.
